Window shopping on Grafton Street

We found the Dalvey shop in Grafton Street.  The thing that caught my eye was the brilliant sea green watch in the window.  Dalvey is a mens' accessories shop.  They sell stuff for guys which means they have cuff links, ties, umbrellas, briefcases and watches.  The Dalvey store has all that Father's Day kind of stuff.

They have their own brand of wrist watch & fountain pen too.  Their prices are a bit high, however the stuff they sell looks luxury and seems to be decent quality.  When I looked at the green watch I was like, "Whoa.  That is awesome."  Then my inner cynic (hey, I'm always in touch with my Inner Cynic) said, "Dude, it's probably made in China."  However I was surprised to find it has a Swiss-made 25 jewel automatic movement, probably an ETA 2824-2 and the case is water resistant to 100 meters.  (Yes, I'm a watch geek.)  595 euro is probably a bit much for this watch in my humble opinion, (try 349 guys.)  The movement is basically what you get inside the average Hamilton or Omega.  Anyway, it sure is pretty.

  2. Haha, yeah it's pretty cool. I love the dial, I'm not sure if it is abalone or sea shell or what? This shop was pretty nice inside, very posh. They had some good looking paisley ties and some great cuff links there.
